Rivet is excited to share an opportunity on our growing Program Management team. Under the Director of Program Management, Rivet’s Project Controller is a member of the Program Management team who focuses on the financial health and reporting requirements of contracts.
Core business hours are 0700-1500 Mountain Time. The position is remote with reliance on Microsoft Teams for team collaboration.
Duties:
The Project Controller is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, monitoring progress, reporting, and ensuring contract financials stay on track.
• Support the Rivet Director of Program Management to ensure successful financial reporting, compliance, and budget management for Cost-Plus Fixed Fee contracts, including cost and schedule performance indexing (CPI & SPI).
• Be responsible for tracking prime contract funding, forecasting hours, reviewing and approving labor hours and travel reimbursement invoices for submission, and other analytical, reporting, and administrative functions.
• Manage Time and Materials and Firm Fixed Price subcontracts which include travel and materials.
• Support team members with equipment purchase requests, and equipment management as needed, and related office functions to support contract performance.
• Support team members with compliance with travel under the DoD Joint Travel Regulation, Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) and Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT).
• Coordinate with Rivet corporate operations for support in back-office business functions, i.e. Program Controls, Accounting, Contracts, and the Program Management Office.
• Be customer-service oriented, proactive, responsive, and effective in handling communications and issues.
Qualifications:
Experience:
• Five years of project controller experience supporting DoD service contracts demonstrating successful human resources and/or travel budget management.
• Proficiency validating travel authorizations against the DoD Joint Travel Regulation, Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) and Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT).
• Familiarity with Defense Travel System (DTS) preferred.
• Familiarity with DeltekCostPoint, or similar ERP system, preferred.
• Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to initiate plans, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and its financial functions, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
Education or Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Security:
Requires the applicant to pass the security clearance requirement for the position. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
